Since the end of cold war, the nature of international politics has undergone several changes and is marked with the appearance of a new set of challenges. The process of globalization accelerated by Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) has considerably transformed every domain of human life in terms of space and time that unleashes opportunities and challenges to states (UNESCO, 1996).

Objectives

• To understand the nature and importance of cyber security in the contemporary security debate.
• To understand the level of awareness among people related to the use of internet and other technologies related to cyberspace.
