IGNOU AMT-01 P Project – Demonstration of Numbers

Children's don't only come across numbers after joining schools. They have a vast experience with numbers even before they start school. While playing games many occasions arise where a child count, add or subtract small numbers. This may be done intuitively, without her realising it. In this project I have discussed various aspects of teaching/learning counting. While discussing ways of introducing counting to children, we have particularly stressed the difference between being able to recite number norms and knowing how to count.

Objectives

• To solve out daily life and spatial mathematical concepts.
• To understand the basic knowledge of mathematics and to step upward.
• To generate interest in mathematics and do work with determination.
• To develop childrens skills of learning and prepare them to get higher education.
• To solve out mathematical questionnaires related to daily life by using or relate them with mathematical operators.
• To evaluate efficiency of the aids used.
• To develop methods for continuously evaluating and to determine effectiveness of learning strategy.
• To learn mathematics with purification and concentration
• To teach the concept by using several child-centered methods of teaching.
• To teach student by using various activity-based methods to learn various operations.
