Candidates without CAIIB certification and experience in the banking financial sector, are now eligible to apply for the course as IGNOU has revised its admission criteria and made it easy for aspiring students who want to try their luck in Banking and finance. The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has revised the admission criteria for its Master of Business Administration (Banking and Finance) or MBF program.

Now, candidates without CAIIB certification and two years' experience in banking/financial sector, can also apply for the course.

The Indira Gandhi National Open University has updated its criteria regarding the enrollment of its prestigious IGNOU MBA(Banking and Finance) admission. As per the revised admission norm, now the candidates who have a three-year bachelor's degree having at least 50 percent marks (45 percent for reserved categories), are very much eligible for the program.

About the Course

The MBA Banking and Finance programme is offered by Ignou's School of Management Studies.

The programme is a two-year degree that is offered through open and distance learning modes. IGNOU and the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF) collaborated to create and launch the course, aiming to provide postgraduate qualifications in banking and finance. IGNOU officials  stated that by expanding eligibility requirements, they hope to accommodate individuals who aspire to pursue a postgraduate degree in these sectors.
