IGNOU MLIP-02 Project – User Perceptions towards the Service Quality Provided in respect of Academic Libraries of Delhi

Library plays an important role in the academic world by providing access to world-class information resources and services, and helps to stimulate research by promoting collections and services widely. It is a service organization whose assets and services are both tangible and intangible. The tangible assets constitute document resources, human resources and infrastructural facilities like building, equipment and furniture.

Objectives

• To study behaviour pattern of User in academic libraries visiting;
• To assess the User's expectations and perceptions in academic libraries.
• To the difference between the User’s perceptions and expectations in academic libraries using SERVQUAL method,
• To understand the variations in expectations regarding service quality among users of different disciplines' categories.
