IGNOU DNHE-04 Project – Knowledge, Attitude and Practices Regarding Menstrual Hygiene among School Girls in Ghaziabad

Menstruation is a physiological process in female adolescent which usually started at age of 9–12 years old. First menstruation experience would be different among adolescent girl but if they aware about menstruation before menarche, they can prepare themselves to accept and build good attitude towards menstruation. Mother as the nearest and capable person to educate their children should give information about menstruation and also hygiene prior to menarche so that adolescent girls know the importance of taking care of hygiene during menstruation and how to manage menstrual hygiene issues.

Objectives
