IGNOU DNHE-04 Project – Knowledge, Attitude and Practices for Management of Diabetes Mellitus among Adults Living in Noida

Diabetes is the silent killer disease worldwide and is a major risk factor for many other diseases like cardiovascular diseases, stroke, renal diseases, and many other. It is also the most important reasons to visit the physician. Increasing the knowledge, awareness, and control of diabetes will reduce the morbidity and Mortality. Studies show that many patients did not have appropriate knowledge about the diseases like diabetes.

Objectives

• Following objectives are formulated for the proposed study:
• To study the types and causes of the diabetes mellitus.
• To analyze the impact of diabetes mellitus on the health of the people.
• To find out the ways of managing the disease.
• To suggest methods of managing diabetes mellitus.
• To assess the knowledge attitude and practice about diabetes mellitus in adult population.
