MBA in Hindi and Regional Languages: The MBA syllabus will be translated into 12 Indian languages - Hindi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Punjabi, Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati, Malayalam, Urdu and Assamese.
IGNOU has signed an MoU with AICTE to enable its students to do their "MBA" in Hindi and other regional languages. According to the IGNOU sources, this step has been taken in line with IGNOU's goal of providing higher education in regional languages.
IGNOU's MBA courses will be translated into 12 Indian languages — Hindi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Punjabi, Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati, Malayalam, Urdu and Assamese.
Chairman, AICTE, Prof. T.G. Seetaram said, "AICTE" will work with IGNOU to ensure that textbooks being prepared for MBA education in various Indian languages include defined management terms. We believe this is an important step towards inclusion, which will open many doors for many students living in remote areas to pursue "MBA" in their mother tongue. Apart from this, those students who are not from English background will also help those students to do an MBA program and get the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the world of business."
Srivastava also revealed that more than 1 lakh books have been downloaded by users from 47 countries of the world since the launch of the E-Kumbh portal by the President of India on November 11, 2022.
