IGNOU has prepared a great option for the Agniveer. Now, they will be able to continue their studies along with the job. For this, IGNOU has launched 5 skill-based bachelor's degree programs.

Now Agniveer will be able to study along with the job. If the official sources of IGNOU are to be believed, the University has signed an MOU(Memorandum of Understanding) with all the three wings of our Prestigious Force, namely the Indian Army, Indian Navy, and the Indian Air Force(IAF) for providing the Agniveer with skill-based graduate degree programs. The memorandum says that the university will provide five skill-based graduate degree programs for the Agniveer. The university said that this will help the Agniveer to get a bachelor's degree during service and improve their employability after service.

Now Agniveer will be able to continue his studies along with the job. For this, IGNOU has launched 5 skill-based bachelor's degree programs.

Here are the courses

1. BAAS: Bachelor of Arts (Applied Skills)
2. BAASTM: Bachelor of Arts (Applied Skills) Tourism Management
3. BAASMSME: Bachelor of Arts (Applied Skills) MSME
4. BCOMAS: Bachelor of Commerce (Applied Skills)
5. BSCAS: Bachelor of Science (Applied Skills)

Credits will be available for courses

The programmes offered are a combination of discipline-focused and skill-based courses, totaling 120 credits. IGNOU provides 60 credits worth of courses, while the remaining 60 credits are offered by the armed forces for in-service skill education. The skill courses provided by the armed forces have been approved by the National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET), according to an official statement.

These programs are also in line with the NEP 2020 recommendation for the integration of higher education with skill education. This partnership has been done to help firefighters get bachelor's degrees while in service. With this help, the employability of firefighters will be improved after service.
