Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is a new development which brings together the technology of microelectronics, computing and telecommunications. It is sometimes referred to as the science of information handling. It may be taken as a diverse set of technological resources needed to communicate, create, disseminate, store and manage information. It is often described as the technology where computer and telecommunication devices are used for information gathering/acquisition, processing, storage, retrieval and dissemination to the relevant users. Dewal (2006) was of the view that Computer and information technology are developing with mind-boggling speed.
