After an employee is selected, placed and introduced in an organisation, s/he must be provided with training facilities in order to adjust him/her to the job. Training is the act of increasing the knowledge and skill of an employee for doing particular job. Training is a short-term educational process and utilising a systematic and organised procedure by which employees learn technical knowledge and skills for a definite purpose. Objectives

  • The organisation (bank) has already started giving lots of emphasis to training. The objective of my study is to suggest suitable methods of training need identification, designing training programmes/capsules, conducting training programs and finally evaluating these programmes for the supervisors in the bank. The supervisors of the bank belong to large number of trades and grades. Hence, I shall have to put lots of efforts to cover all the supervisors. Therefore, specific objectives of my study are to identifying training needs of supervisors.
  • To analyse the existing training practices, its effectiveness and recommended measures to improve the training practices in Axis Bank, Bhilai region.
  • Based on training need identification, to suggest training programme with interval.
  • To suggest or recommend methodology for conducting training programmes.
  • Finally, to conclude the findings and suggest any recommendations regarding the future growth prospects.
