IGNOU BES B.Ed. New Course Details (Based on New NCTE Curriculum)

Indira Gandhi National Open University offers admission to its distance learning Bachelor of Education course every year during the January session. The course is offered under the School of Education, popularly known as SOE.

Medium of Instruction: Hindi and English

Program Duration: Two Years. However, a student can complete the course in the maximum duration of 5 years.

The students taking admission in this course will need to pay the amount of Rs. 50,000. However, before depositing the admission fee, you need to check the exact amount of fees with the current year’s prospectus so as to avoid any kind of discrepancy.

It is important to note here that you need not pay the program fee at the time of submitting admission-cum-entrance application form. You will be required to pay the fee only when you pass out the entrance examination of IGNOU BES B.Ed.

The students of IGNOU B.Ed. will need to complete 72 credits altogether in order to pass out the program. The syllabus of B.Ed. the course of IGNOU is divided yearly. And as the course span is of 2 years, the course is divided into two years.

Both these years contain theory along with practical courses to inculcate the teachers-to-be the required competency that is important to acquire for the future teachers at the secondary or senior secondary level.
