ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION TO B.Sc.(NS)

• 10+2 or equivalent with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry with a PCM aggregate of not less than 60% and English as a separate subject with 50% in 10 th or 12 th standard

  OR

  B.Sc (Hons) or B.Sc (General) with PCM or E with minimum of 55% marks

  Or

  BE/BTech Degree from IIT or from a college recognized by AICTE and should have passed in the English language as a subject, at either 10 th or 12 th standard or in the Degree/Diploma course, conducted by the Board or any University with not less than 50% marks

• Min age as on 1st Jan. of the Academic Year -

  In case 10+2 - 20 years

  In case B.Sc.- 22 years

  In case B.E./B.Tech-24 years

PHYSICAL STANDARDS

Medically fit as per the standards set by MS Medical Examination Rules, 2000

Eyesight: 6/6 in each eye without visual aids. Normal color vision. Candidate have to undergo a full eyesight test before applying for final selection

• Admission notification is generally released in May/June and the last date for submission of filled-in application forms will be September 30 for January session and March 31 for July session. Student Handbook and Prospectus is also available on university’s website www.ignou.ac.in. The candidates downloading the Form from website are required to send a Demand Draft of Rs. 550/- (Rupees five hundred fifty only) drawn in favour of IGNOU payable at New Delhi . Advertisements inviting applications for MP are released in leading national and local dailies in April and October.
